November 2016
The "Dragons' Den" style event featured seven CBS researchers, each given three minutes to pitch to industry experts (the "dragons") - Rod Evans, MD of Ideas2Results; Steve MacPherson, Co-founder of Supply Chain Services Australia; and Rodney Nelson, Regional Director of DuPont Sustainable Solutions. The audience of around 70 included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research and the Pro Vice-Chancellor as well as a number of industry representatives. Two awards were up for grabs; one chosen by the "dragons", the other a people's choice award based on audience votes on the evening. The winner of both awards was Dr Min Teah, from the LBRC, for her pitch "Using psychophysiological techniques to test emotions for advertising and product development". Congratulation to the research team: Dr. Min Teah, Dr. Isaac Cheah, and Prof. Ian Phau.
